Claire Danes

Gebhardt, a senior at Belton's University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, felt her performance waver as she watched tears stream down actress Claire Danes' face while she portrayed an outcast, autistic savant for the upcoming biographical HBO movie "Temple Grandin."

As Gebhardt walked off the set, she said she "felt awful" about the rude comments her character was scripted to say. But she knew it was her talent that had gotten her the role as an extra in the film and so close to the actress she has admired since she watched Danes' performance in the 1996 film "Romeo + Juliet."

"I'm sorry Claire. I didn't mean to make you cry," she lamented after explaining that it was from observing the actress and soaking up the whole experience that brought her dreams to break into the movie business even closer to reality. And it made the years of studying for her major in performance studies worth while.

Sedu ??? What is it.......

by Daniel

The Sedu hairstyle is simple, very straight, shiny and silky looking hair. This style is very easy to achieve to those who already have straight hair and is possible for those who have very curly hair.

How do I get the Sedu Hairstyle ?

You get this style by using a ceramic flat iron. You don't need a "specific SEDU flat iron"

The term "Sedu" is really a brand of flat iron. However this style can be created by using any ceramic flat iron.

The "Sedu" term happened to be an easier way of describing very straight hair. Sedu is the popular term that people associate with what Sedu really is.

Before the flat iron it was very difficult for people who had curly hair to obtain straight hair.

Chemical straightening used to be the only way for most with curly hair to get it this straight. The flat iron has reduced the amount of money spent on chemical straighteners. Sedu hairstyles are much cheaper than chemical straighteners. You're still able to achieve other styles without permanently being straight all the time.

Now you can achieve straight hair in half the time..

No more standing in front of the mirror with a blow dryer and round brush to get the straight hair you want.

Other considerations:

Another nice thing about the Sedu hairstyle is that is one of the most inexpensive ways to do your hair as this mentioned earlier is something that is very easy to achieve. Then again if you're just afraid of doing it wrong then by all means speak to your stylist about achieving the Sedu hairstyle.

"Original" Chi and GHD are among the best ceramic flat irons that you can use alongside the Sedu flat iron if you choose to spend the money on one to achieve the Sedu hairstyle.

If you're going to spend the time and energy to achieve the Sedu hairstyle don't waste your money on a cheap ceramic alternative that is going to ruin your hair in the end. Spend the extra money and buy a good professional grade ceramic flat iron.

IMPORTANT

ALL IRONS will damage your hair when used "DAILY"... but buy buying professional grade ceramic irons will reduce the possibility of damaging your hair even more. Professional irons have the technology to reduce maximum damage to your hair.

How to Get Prom Hair Styles

by Kelly

A prom is a special event for the teens and is an occasion for them to dress up well and sport an attractive hairstyle. Apart from the typically traditional styles, new prom hair styles are created every year. Remember to choose a hairstyle that suits you the best and enhances your features. A well done prom hairstyle contributes to your beauty and makes you look confident and attractive on the prom night. A prom hairstyle should be such that it is part of your overall makeup, face and dress. It should suit you and you should be able to carry it well. The color and hairstyle is different for each person and cannot be universalized. Hence it is important to plan well and experiment ahead so that you look and feel good with the prom hairstyle you settle for.

Since proms are classical in nature, tradition forms an important norm and hence punk hairstyles are ruled out. Classic prom hairstyles can be created best by professional hair stylists.

Sedu prom hairdos which are the norm with celebrities are widely preferred by the youngsters. In this hairdo after washing the hair it is dried with a hairdryer and then straightened with the help of the Sedu flat iron. This contributes to the sheen and texture of the hair and makes the hair more manageable.

Different prom hair styles can be sported depending on your style and personality. Some women may prefer popular updos. The messy updo is elegant and fresh and is popular with the young Hollywood. This hairdo sports long bangs which are side swept and are colored with rich highlights. The sides are styled towards the centre of the head and fall into cascades down the neck.

The other prom hairstyles can include the traditional bun, the French twist or a more complex form of a pony tail. The others may favor traditional flowing style by leaving it open. This style can be accessorized by various hairpins studded with precious stones or diamonds.

The Half down/Half up prom hairstyle is ideal to show off straight hair. They are quite simple to style and give a formal look without much fuss. The wrap style is another hot prom hair do if you have straight and shiny hair. French braids are also much in demand fro straight hairs.

Different kinds of ponies are also rocking for a prom night. The hair can be tied up in a high ponytail with the help of a jeweled ponytail holder. Few strands of hair can be pulled out to create a spiky and soft look.

The ballerina bun prom hairstyle is elegant and stylish. It is suitable for shoulder length hair while the Nape Knot is sensual and best suited for hair that is below the shoulder length. The knotted hair style suits medium to longer hair length and is a popular prom hairstyle.

A number of styles can be created from the base hairstyles. While grooming the hair into wraps, braids or rolls, the hair can be styled in any direction with the help of pins or blax bands. In addition a lot of jewels and color can be used for creating that magical look.

Eva Mendes bares it all for Secret Obsession ad

We had recently read about Eva Mendes’ Calvin Klein lingerie posters and now she is back with her bare bodied images for Calvin Klein’s new fragrance Secret Obsession. Her naked mammary glands caused the ad to be banned from the TV just like the guys at Calvin Klein had hoped for. Without some controversy you can’t get noticed, can you? Reminds us of certain straight celebrities who kiss people of the same gender to get more publicity. However, Eva, as always looks gorgeous and any sane person would buy the Secret Obsession in her honor. The lady deserves it.

Jenna Bush, first daughter of American president, will get married on Sunday

Her wedding gown, however, was the creation of Oscar de la Renta, a top New York designer and favorite of the first lady's. It's made of organza, a sheer fabric, with embroidery and matte beading. Jenna has described the dress as "simple and elegant."

For the bridesmaids, New York designer Lela Rose, a native of Dallas, has made silk crinkle chiffon, cocktail-length dresses all adorned with handmade chiffon flowers. There are seven different styles of dresses in seven different colors that match the palate of Texas wildflowers — blues, greens, lavenders and pinky reds — that currently are in bloom.
"No two girls will be in the same dress," said Rose, whose father and Bush were general managing partners of the Texas Rangers.

The maid of honor will wear a long, shimmering, moonstone blue silk gown with a fluttered open back. "It's very soft blue," Rose said. "It really matches Barbara's eyes." The dress is accented with a silver sash to complement those used for the bridesmaids' dresses.

Bush may be commander in chief, but outnumbered by three women — his wife and twin daughters — he hasn't gotten to weigh in much on the wedding planning.

"They're letting me spend money," Bush joked in February.

Britney Donates $25K to the Malaria No More Charity

Out of all the charities selected to benefit from the Idol Gives Back, it was the Malaria No More charity which got Britney Spears contributing for their cause. The Show aired on April 9 saw a whopping $22 million being raised as the total amount. As for Britney, it was the Malaria affected Children in Africa which made her cry for over two hours ultimately making her donate $25,000 but not before taking consent from her father Jamie.

Seems like Britney has finally got her act together as prior to this she was snapped playing with her children and now this. She does owe a lot to her father for helping her regroup herself and she looks to be doing absolutely fine.

In light of the recent resurgence of plastic surgery rumors, Ashley Tisdale is speaking out and setting the record straight.

She told press, “People are saying I had another nose job and I did not. That’s ridiculous,” Tisdale told People magazine. “I was away in New Zealand filming a movie (They Came From Upstairs) and so people think I went away to have more work done. But I didn’t.”

Back in November, the “High School Musical” hottie underwent surgery to correct a deviated septum, as well as smooth out a few bumps that resulted from a teenage fracture. But that was it.

Tisdale lamented, “[Tabloids] have doctors talk about what they think I did with my surgery, but they did not examine me. They don’t know what I have inside my nose.” Her rep, Scott Appel, added, “It’s very irresponsible for a medical professional to comment on someone whom they have not examined.”

As for the rumors that she got a boob job, Ashley exclaimed, “Look at me. Does it look like it to you? No! It’s ridiculous. I’m not for plastic surgery. I’m not going to get another surgery. I can promise you that.”

Karma comes crashing down on Clintons

By RON FOURNIER

For years, Bill and Hillary Clinton treated the Democratic National Committee and party activists as extensions of their White House ambitions, pawns in a game of success and survival.

She may pay a high price for their selfishness soon.

Top Democrats, including some inside Hillary Clinton's campaign, say many party leaders — the so-called superdelegates — won't hesitate to ditch the former New York senator for Barack Obama if her political problems persist. Their loyalty to the first couple is built on shaky ground.

"If (Barack) Obama continues to win .... the whole raison d'etre for her campaign falls apart and we'll see people running from her campaign likes rats on a ship," said Democratic strategist Jim Duffy, who is not aligned with either campaign.

The rats started looking for clear waters when Obama won Iowa, narrowly lost New Hampshire and trounced Clinton in South Carolina before holding his own in last week's Super Tuesday contests. He won Virginia's primary Tuesday and stood to claim Maryland and the District of Columbia to extend his consecutive win streak to eight.

Obama has won 21 of 33 contests, earning the majority of delegates awarded on the basis of election results. The remaining 796 delegates are elected officials and party leaders whose votes are not tied to state primaries or caucuses; thus, they are dubbed "superdelegates."

And they are not all super fans of the Clintons.

Some are labor leaders still angry that Bill Clinton championed the North American Free Trade Agreement as part of his centrist agenda.

Some are social activists who lobbied unsuccessfully to get him to veto welfare reform legislation, a talking point for his 1996 re-election campaign.

Some served in Congress when the Clintons dismissed their advice on health care reform in 1993. Some called her a bully at the time.

Some are DNC members who saw the party committee weakened under the Clintons and watched President Bush use the White House to build up the Republican National Committee.

Some are senators who had to defend Clinton for lying to the country about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Some are allies of former Vice President Al Gore who still believe the Lewinsky scandal cost him the presidency in 2000.

Some are House members (or former House members) who still blame Clinton for Republicans seizing control of the House in 1994.

Some are donors who paid for the Clintons' campaigns and his presidential library.

Some are folks who owe the Clintons a favor but still feel betrayed or taken for granted. Could that be why Bill Richardson, a former U.N. secretary and energy secretary in the Clinton administration, refused to endorse her even after an angry call from the former president? "What," Bill Clinton reportedly asked Richardson, "isn't two Cabinet posts enough?"

And some just want something new. They appreciate the fact that Clinton was a successful president and his wife was an able partner, but they never loved the couple as much as they feared them.

Never count the Clintons out. They are brilliant politicians who defied conventional wisdom countless times in Arkansas and Washington. But time is running out.

A senior Clinton adviser, speaking on condition of anonymity to speak candidly, said the campaign feels the New York senator needs to quickly change the dynamic, perhaps by forcing Obama into a poor debate performance this month. That's grasping at straws, but the adviser said he can't see any other way that her campaign will be sustainable after losing 10 in a row.

The fear inside the Clinton camp is that Obama will win Hawaii and Wisconsin next week and head into the March 4 contests for Ohio and Texas with a 10-race winning streak. Her poll numbers will drop in Texas and Ohio, Clinton aides fear, and party leaders will start hankering for an end to the fight.

Clinton should find little comfort in the fact that she has secured 242 superdelegates to Obama's 160.

"I would make the assumption that the ... superdelegates she has now are the Clintons' loyal base. A superdelegate who is uncommitted today is clearly going to wait and see how this plays out. She's at her zenith now," Duffy said. "Whatever political capital or IOUs that exist, she's already collected."

Few Democrats wants to cross the Clintons when they're on top. But how many are willing to stand by them when they're down?

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long: So Happy Together

As they arrived at the LAX airport earlier this week, one thing was abundantly clear - Justin Long and Drew Barrymore are head over heels in love with each other.

The “E.T.” cutie and her “Dodgeball” boyfriend were spotted arriving from their flight from New Orleans, dressed for chilly weather. Justin sported a black coat with some jeans and a cap, while Drew opted for a white jacket, dark pants and a purple scarf.

Ever since they met on the set of “He’s Just Not That Into You” this past September, Justin and Drew have been a constant blip on the paparazzi radar screen. And the fact that they’ve been scandal-free makes them all the more endearing.

Recently the “Accepted” actor gushed to press about how his new girlfriend makes him feel. Long said, “I’ve been very fortunate. I just feel very blessed and very happy!” And from the looks of Drew, the feeling is mutual.

Is A Sedu Flat Iron Any Good?

by Robin OBrien

If you buy a Sedu flat iron you'll be buying one of the most popular on the market. They're mid-priced, come with solid ceramic plates and with adjustable temperature control. But, are they a match for some of their competitors' recent models? The answer is that some are while others aren't.

Let's get one thing straight (pardon the pun); A Sedu is one of the best flat irons available. They've received many hairstyling awards and many professionals use them. However, they aren't the only hair straightener that has received hair awards and is loved by professional stylers. And, many brands newer models now come with features that make straightening hair easier and make hair stay straighter for longer.

A Sedu is often compared to a CHI flat iron with many preferring one or other for the results they get. However, with the new range of CHI flat irons, Sedu may find its market share slipping. Let's take a look at each model available and see how it rates.

The Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1") has been on the market for some time and remains a big seller. It has solid ceramic plates that are coated with tourmaline crystal - tourmaline emits 6 times more negative ion that does ceramic (negative ions seal the cuticle and retain the hair's moisture causing less heat damage and make hair straighter for longer). It's also light, weighing only 0.9 lbs. and is a low wattage appliance, using only 72 watts, so it's cheaper to run. It now retails for around $75, so its price is pretty competitive for a good quality styling tool.

There is also a 1 1/2" plate version, which features exactly the same features but retails for a higher price of around $100.

Comparing both of these models with the original CHI flat iron we find that the Sedu models are cheaper, which is a real plus point. The CHIs are also heavier although they do heat up quicker, come with longer power chords and use only 35 watts. However, what really makes the Sedu the better iron is that it features variable heat control, whereas the CHI is fixed at 385F. If you're thinking of buying either of the two tools, you should definitely choose the Sedu.

The Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline Hair Styler is new. It comes with 1" plates, weighs only 0.65lbs, adjustable temperature control between 180F - 450F (120C - 230C), and fast heat up time. It also comes with something called a Freestyle Guiding System that prevents hair from slipping out at the end of the tool's plates. The plates also have a curved edge that helps prevent snagging and allows hair to be curled as well as straightened. Its price tag is around $130 and it's a very good hair styler.

But it looks rather old fashioned when compared to the new CHI Nano Ceramic Digital 1" flat iron. This tool uses something called Nano Silver Technology. This eliminates bacteria on the tool, creating a germ-free environment every time you use it - you're going to see this featured more and more on newer flat irons; the Corioliss also uses this technology. Just like its competitor the plates have curved edges. It is more expensive, retailing for around $140.

The CHI Nano Ceramic is the best flat iron of the two and I would recommend you spend the extra on buying it.

If you want to spend around $70 -$80, the Sedu flat iron is a great tool for the price, but if you really want the best, then opt for the CHI Nano flat iron.

The 35-year-old former "Baywatch" babe was snapped backstage at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday, sporting a bad blonde dye job, black liquid eyeliner and a Holly Hobbie/dominatrix dress from Laura Ashley's Elvira line.

Throw on a pair of Lucite heels and she could be Shauna Sand's classier, long lost sister. While on Sunday, Electra was photographed in Chile (inset)-- looking like a Druid high priestess.

Hopefully, her best gal pal, Joan Jett, isn't behind Carm's new disposition.

Lindsay Lohan sets record, kisses 3 men a day!

Lindsay Lohan has become a complete freak out. She spent a wild weekend as she reached Capri. The ‘Life-Size’ actress’s decline is for sure ever since she visited rehab thrice in 2007. But, it seems, she is in no mood to learn from her past and behave decently as she continued with her ways of no restraint, no self-respect and a moral-less being.

The 21-year-old has shocked me with her latest gestures as she tried to get cozy with not one, but, three men in 24-hour spell during a visit to Capri! She attended Capri Film Festival with ‘Heroes’ star and friend Hayden Panettiere and was honored for her contribution to Hollywood.

It all started with waiter Alessandro Di Nunzio, whom Lohan met as she reached Capri. The duo exchanged their phone numbers at a film show. However, she did not find him great and decided on another guy Di Nunzio and ended up in lip locking with him. Both, then dined together and got little intimate on hotel’s sofa.

That was not enough to satiate Lohan as later on, dressed up in skimpy skirt she went on and had a session with another older Italian hunk, Eduardo Costa.

The last and fortunate one to get close and kissed by Lohan was actor Dario Faiella, the son of Italian music legend Peppino Di Capri. Well, I hope Lohan is now contended with kisses she shared with Italian men but all I wish to know is that which one was most passionate for her.
